Chad & I met by the wonderful match making skills of my loving little sister, Reagan and her husband Khaleel Pfetzer. Chad and Khaleel went through the Farmington Fire Academy together during the first few months of 2024. After the initial awkward meeting of any good blind date, Chad and I got to know each other more over the next few weeks. This is one of the first pictures we took together on a picnic date at Farmington Lake 🫶🏻

The literal Clark Kent to my Lois Lane. How can a girl resist a nerdy guy with big muscles, that basically has 'Hometown Hero' as his job? And how can a guy resist a girl that has her nose stuck in a book, a Taylor Swift song stuck in her head, and has some decent self-cut bangs? We were both done for honestly.

It was on this visit to Las Cruces that I knew Chad was the Real Deal. I accidentally missed turns not once, not twice - but FOUR times throughout the course of the trip. Chad's response to each missed turn met me with laughter, patience, and grace.

We kicked off the start of our first summer together with a day at the lake. Guess who did most of the paddling? Hint: Not the passenger princess.

This was my first time sharing a meal with Chad and The Guys at the station - I guess you could say things were getting pretty serious. Note: L3 was being used as a reserve unit because L1 was *temporarily* out of use.

Two days before Chad proposed, we got a puppy. Her name is Mavis (aka Mavy Baby) and she's the world's cutest brat.
